Baby Dos cooperated today for our gender scan, which means we now know it’s a boy! We just got home about 45 minutes ago, and I’m still feeling a bit surprised. It’s funny, I don’t know why I have this reaction of surprise, since I didn’t have a feeling either way. I guess I just need some time to let it soak in.

Both grandmas joined Andy, Aria and me for today’s appointment. It was nice to have them along when we found out. Andy doesn’t have any trouble making out what he’s looking at on the ultrasound screen. I, on the other hand, sometimes have to ask what I’m seeing. It only took a couple minutes or so to determine clearly that it is a boy. Then we got to look at his little face, and we watched him sucking away on his thumb. He was going to town on it the whole time we looked at his face and got his heartbeat. We could even see his little jaw moving up and down as he sucked!

Everything looks good! He’s a healthy little boy, and now I can start referring to him by his name – Noah James.
